About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our Special Educational Needs Department (SEND). As a key member of our team, you will provide valuable support to teaching staff, contributing to a positive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff to deliver one-to-one and general classroom support for students with SEND
  • Supervise students during lessons and activities, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Assist with data inputting, preparation of resources, and maintenance of materials
  • Participate in exam invigilation and support school trips as required

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to build positive relationships with young people and their families, and a proactive 'can-do' attitude. Your enthusiasm, organisational skills, and attention to detail will enable you to make a significant impact on student outcomes.

Benefits

This fixed-term contract until August 2025 offers a competitive salary of £19,763 - £20,730 per annum, paid pro-rata for 32.5 hours per week. You will also have access to ongoing professional development opportunities and the chance to work in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Working Arrangements

The normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 3:10pm, with a 40-minute unpaid break. This is a term-time only post, with additional hours available during after-school activities or holidays at a premium rate.
