Calling all experienced SEN 1:1's

Protocol Education is working with a School in Beaconsfield to secure a Long-Term 1:1 support for a child in Reception with suspected ADHD and currently seeking a diagnosis.

The school is an intimate, modern independent school in Beaconsfield for girls aged 3-11 years old. The school boasts a large indoor swimming pool, as well as a state of the art gymnasium, Art, dance and drama suites.

The Role

Understand the child's needs, preferences and gain their trust

Support them to maintain focus and engage in curriculum learning activities

Support them to navigate social interactions and control behavioural issues

Understand her behaviours and when she needs support to regulate and find strategies that work for her to do this positively, minimising impact on class

Be a confidante and provide regular updates to child's parent on progress and strategies that have worked and areas of improvement working on

Build child's confidence and self esteem in areas she may struggle

Hours: Full Time MOnday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm

Length of Contract: Starting ASAP until end of the academic year and potentially into year 1

The candidate

Previous experience in a 1:1 SEN role

An understanding of various SEN strategies and therapies to support this child to achieve postive academic and social outcomes

An individual who can create positive relationships with pupils quickly and can gain their trust

An understanding of ADHD and how this presents in girls

Excellent communication skills and an understanding of adaptation of communication skills with SEN children
