The Role: We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated 1:1 Special Educational Needs (SEN) Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join the team. The successful candidate will work closely with a specific child with additional learning needs, providing tailored support to enhance their learning experience, ensure inclusion, and promote independence. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support to a child with special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their individual learning goals. Implement tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO. Assist with personal care and behaviour management as needed. Support the child in social interactions and emotional regulation. Maintain regular communication with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to provide updates on progress and areas for further development. Ensure the child's well-being and safety at all times within the school environment. Foster a positive, nurturing relationship with the child to boost confidence and encourage Ideal Candidate Will Have: Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a 1:1 capacity. Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children achieve their full potential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. A good understanding of SEN strategies and interventions. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the needs of the child. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Desirable Qualifications: A relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. Experience in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, or other learning difficulties.
