Urology are looking for an Operational Co-ordinator to join the team. Working at Ipswich Hospital, this is an opportunity to play an integral part in future service developments. This opportunity will allow you to play a major role in the continuing development of service delivery for the benefit of our patients where care and compassion are central to everything we do. You will have the opportunity to further develop your operational and management skills in a supportive and innovative atmosphere, including bed management and business management.

You must be a 'team player' working in a way that encourages high performance from other staff, with the aim of maintaining efficiency within the department. We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic individual for this position.

Main duties of the job

Your role will include being the first point of contact for escalation within the team as well as the management of the patient tracking list and clinical rotas, so as such, you need to be the kind of person who doesn't give up and is able to exhibit creative thinking.

In this role you will manage the administrative team within Urology, supporting them to move patients through their treatment pathways within appropriate timescales. You will also encourage high performance from the staff, with the aim to maintain a high quality comprehensive administrative service.

You will work alongside the service manager and an engaged team of dedicated healthcare professionals in a fast pace and challenging environment to ensure a high quality service is provided to our patients.
