TheRole:

TheHead of Marketing and BusinessDevelopment will take ownership of developing andexecuting the overall marketing and business development strategy.You will drive brand building customer acquisition lifecyclemarketing and strategic partnerships that fuel sustainable growth.Working closely with internal teams and external agencies you willlead efforts to increase customer engagement deliver a strong ROIand develop longterm business relationships that unlock new revenuestreams.

This role is idealfor a leader with experience in fastpaced startup environments witha particular focus on organic social media marketing customergrowth partnership management and a passion forpets.

What willyoudo

  • MarketingStrategy & Leadership:Develop and implementshort and longterm marketing strategies that drive business growthenhancing brand awareness customer acquisition and retention. Leadmarketing initiatives across the customer lifecycle includingperformance marketing organic social media and CRM strategies.Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to executemarketing plans ensuring campaigns are on brand on time and withinbudget. Ensure marketing efforts are datadriven utilising keyperformance indicators such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)Lifetime Value (LTV) and ROI to guidestrategies.

  • BrandBuilding & Storytelling: Craft a compellingbrand narrative that resonates with pet owners using innovativecampaigns to strengthen brand awareness and customer loyalty.Spearhead organic social media and community engagement strategiesacross platforms like Instagram TikTok and Facebook increasingbrand visibility and customerinteraction.

  • Performance& ROI: Implement a testandlearn approach tomarketing activities fostering continuous improvement andinnovation. Analyse the commercial success of all marketing effortsensuring an efficient ROI to power business growth. Takeaccountability for the overall marketing budget includingforecasting and periodic reporting to track and assessperformance.

  • BusinessDevelopment & Partnerships: Identify andpursue strategic business development opportunities that drivepartnerships with key stakeholders in the pet insurance and techecosystems. Build and nurture relationships with industry partnersincluding veterinarians pet service providers ecommerce platformsand pet retailers. Develop and implement a B2B sales strategypromoting partnerships through affiliate marketing joint venturesand crosspromotional activities. Lead negotiations and securecollaborations that expand the distribution of insurance productsand increase brand presence across new channels. Evaluate potentialmarkets and revenue streams researching trends customer needs andcompetitive positioning within the pet insuranceindustry.

  • Market& Customer Insight: Stay ahead of trends inthe pet insurance market ensuring that our strategies align withevolving customer needs and behaviours. Leverage data and customerinsights to continuously refine marketing and business developmentstrategies ensuring relevance in a competitivemarket.

  • Leadership& Collaboration: Lead mentor and inspireboth the marketing and business development teams fostering aculture of innovation creativity and resultsdriven performance.Drive crossfunctional collaboration between marketing producttechnology and customer service teams to ensure consistentexecution of businessgoals.

  • Provenexperience in marketing and business development with a strongtrack record in highgrowthenvironments.
  • Expertise in customer lifecyclemanagement and fullfunnel marketing.
  • Stronganalytical skills to optimise campaigns and trackperformance.
  • Excellent communication andstakeholder managementabilities.
