Full Time 37 hours per week, Fixed Term until 31st March 2025. Secondments will be accepted from partner agencies.


We are recruiting to a fixed term Policy and Strategy Lead to support the partnership in our work to implement Working Together across the system.

The publication of Working Together 2023 presents a range of opportunities and challenge to the safeguarding partnership in the city. 


You will have a proven track record of embedding policy into systems and processes within Children's Services. You will work with Senior Leaders to develop new governance and policy processes for the partnership including:


- New governance arrangements for the KBSP including the role of Lead Safeguarding Partners and Independent Scrutiny


- New assessment guidance and approach for undertaking s17 assessments developed collaboratively with social work team and statutory safeguarding partners


- A review of the governance arrangements for facilitating the engagement and representation of the education and VCSE sectors


The role will work within the existing multi-disciplinary KBSP Business Unit and have close working links to the BCC Corporate Policy team and partner agencies safeguarding leads.
