About The Role
We are currently seeking an outstanding Administrator who will play a key role in supporting the Institute of Photography, an academic department that teaches Photography and Visual Communication. It is an exciting and varied role working closely with the Department Senior Administrator and involves offering administrative support to academics and students across the courses, including purchasing, Visiting Lecturer contracting, travel, accommodation bookings for staff and student study visits both in the UK and overseas.This role requires a customer-focused, pro-active and flexible approach, plus the ability to prioritise workload to adapt to variations in demand. About You
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of undertaking a wide range of administrative duties, be proficient to an advanced level in utilising Microsoft Office applications and be able to demonstrate an ability to take responsibility for tasks and deliver according to deadlines. You will possess basic project management knowledge/skills and strong organisational, problem solving and time management skills. We are also looking for candidates with the following skills/experience: Previous experience of working in a customer-focused environment including the provision of advice and guidance. Experience booking complex travel itineraries. Well-developed interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with colleagues, students and external contacts. Proven ability to convey information in a clear and accurate manner and a desire to resolve issues. This is a full time, 35 hours a week position across Monday-Friday. We are able to offer this role on a hybrid basis with a mix of on-campus and at home working.
