Our Swindon facility houses our Zydis® fast dissolving tablet development and manufacturing operation as well as a CMC pharmaceutical analytical lab services unit that offers ASAP stability.

Catalent Swindon is currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join our Swindon site. The Financial accountant will manage the external reporting obligations of the Swindon group of entities and drive compliance and control in the Catalent Swindon Zydis company.

The Role:

Manage the annual audit process for the Swindon group Manage the production and delivery of UK statutory accounts for the three entities Manage the annual corporation tax compliance work for the Swindon site Prepare detailed tax analysis for external review, including quarterly tax packs for US reporting Manage the UK banking arrangements including key relationships and banking software, acting as an administrator on the Barclays iportal system Covenant monitoring and quarterly reporting to the Trustees of the (closed) Catalent DB pension scheme Act as company secretarial support for the Swindon group of companies, ensuring all external filing obligations are met Identify and implement any key changes to financial reporting and taxation frameworks Lead any ad-hoc financial reporting, compliance or tax initiatives as required  Work with the senior leadership team (SLT) to improve financial controls  Work with SLT and management teams to maximise R&D tax and patent box claims, and manage tax affairs eg plastic tax Assist as required with cash flow and working capital management Support review of payroll and headcount reporting Support decision makers by providing accurate accounting and finance support Manage Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) process, including internal and external audits and walk-through exercises Assist Financial Controller and Controllership team to meet the three-day reporting close Review of control environments throughout the business, suggesting control improvements  Act as the internal technical expert deputising for the Financial Controller

The candidate:

ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified Familiarity with UK GAAP and Corporate tax legislation; sufficient to suggest, lead and implement required changes Knowledge of JD Edwards v9.2 and/or OneStream would be an advantage Strong Excel
