Position: Lead Financial Accountant - Reporting and Compliance

Compensation:
£45,000 - £65,000

We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Lead Financial Accountant to become a vital part of our expanding Reporting and Compliance division.

The Reporting and Compliance division plays a crucial role in the organization’s internal and external financial disclosures, ensuring the delivery of precise statutory and regulatory financial reports.

This division encompasses a range of accounting and reporting functions, including the formulation of accounting methodologies, the preparation of financial data and analyses, and the timely submission of reports in alignment with external standards and best practices.

In this role, you will be expected to spend a minimum of two days each week, or if part-time, 40% of your working hours, at one of our designated offices, with occasional travel as required.

Responsibilities include:

1. Leading financial reporting initiatives, including the consolidation of Group financial outcomes and the preparation of statutory financial statements, utilizing analytical skills to interpret data and resolve discrepancies.
2. Overseeing regulatory reporting by gathering data from various departments, conducting analyses based on regulatory requirements, and generating accurate reports for periodic submissions.
3. Managing the review and preparation of financial documents, such as notes for the financial statements in our Annual Report, as well as internal monthly reports.
4. Enhancing processes and outputs to ensure they are future-ready.

Candidate Profile:

Essential Qualifications:
1. A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
2. Proven experience in managing financial reporting processes, such as month-end ledger closures or Group reporting.
3. A history of effective problem-solving, resilience, and influence.
4. Strong ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to meet deadlines.

5. Proficient in analyzing numerical data, identifying trends and issues, and collaborating with others to address them.

6. Confident in presenting financial information to stakeholders, including senior management.
