Job Title: Financial Accountant - Retail Function

Job Summary:

Nationwide Building Society is seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our Retail Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing costs, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage costs and track financial performance across the Retail Function
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Support the adoption of new financial systems and processes

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified/qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Experience working in a finance role, preferably in a retail or banking environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient in Excel and financial systems (such as Longview, Peoplesoft, Board)
