We have a great opportunity for a Transport Planner to join our team in Wyboston for The Pallet Network. 

Key Responsibilities:

Plan workloads to ensure compliance with driver’s hours and working time directive legislation. Utilise geographical knowledge to optimise fleet efficiency. Efficiently plan vehicle routes to minimise costs and maximise revenue. Conduct briefing and debriefing sessions for drivers at the beginning and end of shifts. Supervise and manage driver workloads, sourcing additional drivers when necessary. React promptly to route planning changes, implementing necessary re-routing. Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are consistently met. Provide detailed and accurate handovers to the next shift. Maintain clear communication between drivers and the depot at all times. Ensure drivers possess correct paperwork and arrive punctually using installed software. Address driver queries in person and via telephone. Keep drivers informed about road conditions and challenge when necessary to maintain on-time deliveries. Collaborate with a team of planners to effectively service our client base. Coordinate with the Transport Manager for regular maintenance intervals and liaise with Site Managers for ETAs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Previous experience as a Transport Planner in a fast paced office, preferably with Pallet Network experience. Proficient in monitoring drivers and operating transport systems. Solid understanding of tachograph regulations. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks consistently. Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communicator. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and under pressure. High level of drive, enthusiasm, and attention to detail. Proactive and dynamic approach to problem-solving. Numerate and proficient in IT.
