Job Title: GDASS Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA)
Location: Gloucester
Salary - £28,800 (+ £750 Car Allowance) per annum - depending on skills and experience
Contract type - Fixed Term until June 2025 due to funding
Working hours - Full Time - 37 hours
About the role
Working for Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS - part of GreenSquareAccord) , GDASS provides support to victims of domestic abuse (16+) living in Gloucestershire.
- Give practical and emotional support to high risk victims of domestic abuse.
- Work effectively with the wider staff team, other professionals such as social care, the police and health professionals in order to reduce the risk for victims.
- Act as the voice of the victim within the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference.
- Assess risks relating to individual clients carrying out Risk Assessments in line with procedure, and re-assess as required.

About you
Experience of working with victims of domestic abuse. Experience of working with victims of honour based violence, F.G.M. and forced marriage. Experience of working directly with customers in a challenging or potentially challenging environment. Understanding of legal remedies for victims of domestic abuse and be able to advocate on behalf of a client Experience of facilitating group work programmes . Experience of supporting victims of domestic abuse through the court system. Experience of working in a multi agency environment.About us
