Passive Fire Operations Manager
Marlowe Fire & Security are the fastest growing fire & security business in the UK. From initial design, supply and installation, through to ongoing maintenance and monitoring, we maintain the capability to help prevent, detect and monitor Fire and Security risks for our customers up and down the country. We are currently looking to appoint a new Passive Fire Operations Manager based out of our offices in Risley, Derbyshire.
Basic Salary – £50-55,000
Vehicle / Vehicle Allowance – subject to candidate preference. Circa £525 per month

Marlowe Fire & Security’s Passive Fire Operations Manager’s…..
Are responsible for the delivery and growth of the passive fire protection service and installation stream including commercial management and operational delivery. Responsibilities will include the development of internal self-delivery of structural fire protection solutions primarily through the growth of an internal delivery team and recruitment of suitable resources and external supply chain to help deliver on nationwide requirements.
- To maintain appropriate accreditations to FIRAS.
- To implement suitable internal and external engineer training and competence programmes to support fire stopping, air sealing, room integrity testing, fire boarding, fire barrier and intumescent paint activities
- To provide technical support and guidance to the team as and when required, assisting with specifications, proposals and providing advice to sales and operations teams
- To work with sales and marketing to develop suitable value propositions and lead generation in passive fire protection works.
- To recruit and manage sufficient internal and external resources to support passive fire protection demands from our existing customer base
- Assist and develop market pricing policy for the individual services, tender submissions, and quotation professionalism
- To work alongside the operations teams in Risley to assist with PFP compliance across the engineering team.
- To manage the profit centre of the Passive Fire Department, ensuring maximum utilisation of internal resources
- Assist division wide with implemented changes in standards, legislation and provide technical support on all areas of Passive Fire Protection when required.
- Ensure environmental and health and safety compliance across all the passive fire department activities

- Proven experience as a Passive Fire Operations Manager or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of passive fire protection systems and regulations
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in fire safety or related field
- Ability to manage and motivate a large and growing team, that is scalable to deliver on growth aspirations
- To be comfortable in the preparation and management of budgets
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proactive approach to problem-solving
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Professionalism, energy and drive to succeed
- Hold the necessary qualifications to demonstrate competency and industry leading knowledge for the role
