Mechanical Fire Safety Department Manager

Job Summary
Marlowe Fire and Security is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Mechanical Fire Safety Department. As the Head of Mechanical Fire Safety Operations, you will be responsible for managing and developing the department's activities across the UK, ensuring that all installations and planned servicing are delivered within budget, on time, and in line with customer and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the Mechanical Fire Safety Department's activities, including contract review, project delivery, and budget management.
- Lead a team of Mechanical Engineers, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure the department's success.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, engineers, and sub-contractors to ensure effective planning and delivery of projects.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and 3rd-party audits.
- Manage and maintain departmental folders, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve departmental performance, efficiency, and profitability.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Extensive experience in a similar management role, leading a team of Mechanical Engineers.
- Deep understanding of mechanical systems, with experience in managing installations and maintenance.
- Excellent management and communication skills, with the ability to resolve customer queries.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with a structured approach.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic.

- Basic Salary – £50-60,000 per annum.
- Vehicle or Vehicle Allowance – subject to candidate preference, circa £575 per month.
