Job Description:
My client, a global leader in the energy sector, has created this exciting new role due to exceptional growth within their Utilities and Power Quality segments. The role focuses on business development, sales leadership, and market expansion, particularly within the medium voltage, low voltage, and transformer product lines.
As the Sales Manager, you will lead a team of 15 Sales/KAMs, which is expected to grow to 25 within the next 12 months. Your primary responsibility will be driving sales with DSO companies (Distribution System Operators) and Energy Utilities companies, developing strong relationships with public sector clients, and expanding the market presence across multiple European regions.
Key to success in this role will be your background in electrical engineering (mechanical engineers with electrical knowledge will also be considered) and a proven track record in team leadership within an international environment. You must have experience in power distribution and ideally be familiar with transformers.
The position offers substantial growth opportunities, with a strong trajectory towards senior leadership roles within 5 years, supported by a comprehensive onboarding and training program. Compensation includes an extremely competitive base salary with bonus.
Key Requirements:
- Electrical engineering background & education (or mechanical BA with relevant professional electrical knowledge).
- Experience in medium/low voltage and transformer solutions.
- Leadership experience managing teams of 15+, with plans to grow to 25.
- Familiarity with DSO companies and public sector sales - existing network
- Willingness to travel 25-40% of the time (national and international - Europe)
