Introduction
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading company that specialises in digital marketing solutions. The Sales Manager will be instrumental in driving sales, targeting a mix of enterprise companies, key industry players, and scale-ups. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of navigating complex decision-making units and budget structures within target organisations. The Sales Manager will be responsible for presenting the value of digital marketing services to senior executives, such as Global Marketing Directors and Chief Marketing Officers (CMOs).
The Role
The Sales Manager will be at the forefront of engaging with both existing clients and new prospects, focusing on selling digital marketing solutions. The position involves working independently and as part of a team to meet sales targets and build long-lasting relationships with clients. The successful candidate will actively seek new business opportunities and work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement sales strategies.
Responsibilities
- Engage with existing accounts to upsell digital products, concentrating on client growth and retention.
- Identify and target strategic new business prospects to expand the company's digital marketing client base.
- Achieve and exceed personal revenue targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Conduct independent research and analysis of the marketplace to uncover sales opportunities.
- Organize and execute customer outreach, including face-to-face meetings, sales trips, and participation in industry events.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with prospective clients, offering consultative solutions that align with their marketing goals.
- Design and present creative digital marketing campaigns to clients and agencies.
- Manage the sales pipeline to maximise both revenue and operational efficiency.
- Ensure a seamless handover of new accounts to the customer success team for ongoing support.
- Collaborate with the Sales Director to craft a personalised sales strategy.
- Provide weekly performance reports, outlining achievements, challenges, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.
- Uphold exemplary sales practices and maintain high standards in administration and customer service.
Requirements
- Proven experience in B2B digital media sales.
- In-depth knowledge of digital marketing, lead generation, and thought leadership campaigns.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with senior executives.
- Strategic mindset, adept at navigating complex decision-making processes within target organisations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to excellence in sales practices and customer service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is required.
- A Master's degree or additional certifications in digital marketing or sales is preferred.
- Certifications in digital marketing, sales management, or sales technologies are an advantage, though not mandatory.
