Position: Night Receptionist


Scope of Work

We are looking for a night receptionist to join our amazing team in maintaining our high standards within the Aparthotel and to ensure guests needs are met and exceeded in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring total guest satisfaction.

The Night Receptionist is the Manager on Duty and responsible for all operations during overnight shift hours, focusing on Front Office operations, night audit, guest and safety/ security ensuring a professional and efficient service at all times.

Apartments General Manager


Core Duties

To ensure that all the guests receive excellent customer service in accordance with our standards.

Responsible for the smooth running of the building overnight, maintaining a visible presence in the hotel lobby and ensuring the utmost comfort and safety of all guests.

To resolve any situations that may occur, subsequently referring any problems to the department concerned for further action and follow-up. Input all complaints in Daily Log.

Produce a comprehensive shift handover for the morning team and brief them on anticipated early guest requirements and use of hotels meeting room.

To be familiar with the operation of all technical equipment in guest rooms e.g. TV, Telephone, Safe, Internet connections, CR etc. NB Rooms, Maintenance requests

Check each nighty the float balances. If there is a discrepancy it must be investigated immediately and corrected.

To maintain and update an accurate guest history.

Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.

Learns guest names and personally recognise our regulars.

To be familiar with the operation of all technical equipment in guest rooms e.g. TV, telephone, safe and A/C

Conduct a security check of the building.

Be knowledgeable and in all the SOPs, Risk Assessments, products and services that we provide, projecting confidence and professionalism.

Maintain a thorough knowledge of our reservation procedures, in-house special promotions, rate availability and control to maximise occupancy and revenue.

Report, record, and action any maintenance issues immediately, including all furniture, fittings, and equipment.

To be able to use all computer systems including Opera PMS and Microsoft products.
