The role will have some hybrid working options and the ideal candidates will have experience working within the financial sector and should have some familiarity with the workings of tax and basic accountancy.


Role Description:


This position is primarily office based with some hybrid options. The full-time Business Development Manager (BDM) and Account Manager (AM) roles will involve growing the business by identifying new clients and generating business opportunities through effective networking, market research and social reach. The ideal candidate should be experienced in sales, and able to generate leads and close deals. The ability to work remotely for some part of the week is acceptable although some face-to-face interactions will be necessary.


The familiarities within the financial sector ideally should encompass for the following:


- The running of our client Business Accounts

- The ability to assist with Self Assessments

- VAT Services

- General accounting advice & knowledge


In the case of the BDM role, this ideally will also include:


- Payroll Services

- Corporation Tax

- Monthly Book-keeping

- To advise and provide accounting solutions to our corporate clients (existing and new)


Qualifications:


• Previous sales experience working for a Finance Brokerage, tax / accountancy entity or similar.

• A self-starter who could work independently, sales driven and has a proven track record of reaching sales targets.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate complex ideas with clients and team members.

• Strong organisational and time-management skills

• A willingness to learn, adapt, and innovate in a rapidly changing market.

Proposal Development and Negotiation:


Prepare customized proposals and presentations outlining the scope of services, pricing structures, and deliverables tailored to each client's needs and preferences.


Lead negotiations with clients to finalize contract terms, service agreements, and pricing arrangements, ensuring alignment with both parties' expectations and objectives.

Collaborate with internal accounting and tax team to develop comprehensive proposals and address any client concerns or inquiries.




Market Trends and Strategic Planning:

Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics within the UK accounting and outsourcing landscape.


Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities, potential niches, and areas for expansion or differentiation.




Performance Tracking and Reporting:

Monitor and evaluate sales performance metrics, including pipeline development, conversion rates, revenue projections, and client retention rates.

Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and deal progression using CRM systems and other relevant tools.


Prepare regular reports, forecasts, and updates for management review, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.




Experience:


Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management roles within the accounting, finance, tax or professional services sector.


In-depth knowledge of outsourcing practices, with a keen understanding of accounting and tax practice needs and market dynamics in the UK.


Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and solutions effectively to diverse audiences.


Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and analytical skills, with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on driving revenue growth and client satisfaction.


Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales and marketing tools.
