About the role
We are seeking an experienced Creative Agency Business Development Manager to help us grow our existing client base in the UK, Europe, the U.S. and beyond, while maintaining and developing long-term partnerships with existing clients. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of creative, media-based projects, strong communication skills, and be proactive in engaging existing and potential clients.
Key responsibilities
- Lead generation: Identify and target prospective clients, with a focus on pharmaceutical, professional services, energy, and financial service industries, and build a strong pipeline of opportunities.
- Deal shaping: Understanding client context to develop compelling proposals and solutions that meet their needs, and owning the negotiation process.
- Client engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and potential clients.
- Pitching & presentations: Collaborate to craft tailored proposals, pitches, and presentations that showcase our expertise and align with client objectives.
- Market research: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging markets to identify new opportunities for growth. Identify upselling opportunities and drive revenue growth.
- CRM management: Maintain an organized record of leads, contacts, and activities using CRM tools (Hubspot).
- Target achievement: Work towards revenue and client goals, contributing to the studio’s overall growth strategy.
Experience
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the video, animation, or creative services sector.
- Strong understanding of corporate communication needs and how media-based creative services can address them.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to confidently present to senior stakeholders.
- Skilled in building long-term client relationships, expanding networks, and identifying new opportunities.
- Experienced in negotiation and shaping projects while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and results-driven with a strong understanding of market trends and product knowledge.
- Passion for creativity: A genuine interest in video production, design, and storytelling is a significant advantage.
