Having launched in 2021, we have grown to a double-digit team and delivered incredible campaigns with the likes of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team, Aston Villa, TECNO Mobile, Marriott Hotels and SAP, working alongside global names and brands like Cristiano Ronaldo, Lewis Hamilton, Tom Brady, Will Smith, Manchester City and Steve Aoki in the process.
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our growing team as we further our business expansion.
As a self-starter with a proven track record of delivering new business contracts in the worlds of sports, entertainment and gaming, and armed with a bustling network, you will play a key role in the ongoing growth of the business.
CORE FOCUS:
- Generate new business leads to expand our client base and drive revenue growth for AND THE NEW.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create plans and strategies to identify new business opportunities across potential rights holder and brand clients.
- Build and maintain a continuous pipeline of new business opportunities tracked within our CRM system - consistently driving prospects into leads through high-volume but targeted sale activities.
- Build and maintain a bank of high-quality case study assets for use in outreach communications and credentials meetings.
- Build relationships with new prospects, gauging their needs and challenges, and developing appropriate proposals.
- Take a leading role on proposal development, RFI/RFP submissions, and sales presentations/pitches, collaborating with internal departments to generate the highest standard of work and most compelling propositions for potential clients.
- Lead and manage efficient and productive negotiations of deal terms, taking full ownership of the deal process.
- Support the transition of new clients into the Account Management and Operational functions, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
- Report directly into the Co-Founder providing weekly and monthly insights and reports to hit your targets. This should include quantitative data such as pipeline activity and response rate, and qualitative data such as strategic opportunities and warmth of market response to certain propositions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience with demonstrated successful sales experience in prospecting and closing multiple clients worth a minimum of £50,000 and regularly hitting annual sales targets.
- A strong network built over years in the industry spanning rights holders (across sports, entertainment and/or gaming) and brands leveraging the industry through marketing and/or sponsorship investment.
- Prior new business experience at an agency, rights holder / IP owner, or tech product relating to the sports, entertainment or gaming industry preferred.
- Strong in negotiating skills: you are, results and solution oriented, comfortable with substantial cold-calling and outreach activity.
- Knowledge of lead generation techniques across multiple channels and platforms.
- Curious and eager to trial new techniques and strategies to unlock new business opportunities.
- Must be able to clearly and articulately develop concise proposal documents.
- Must be comfortable presenting both online and in person and able to deliver crisp presentations with charm, confidence and clarity.
- Target driven and capacity to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritising workload.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You are enthusiastic and passionate who leads with integrity and instils the same passion in other team members.
- Most importantly, you’re a team player who actively enjoys rolling your sleeves and getting stuck in.
