Role Overview:

As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you will be responsible for building relationships and driving meetings with potential clients to present the agency’s bespoke design solutions. This is a top-of-funnel role, where your main focus will be lead generation, relationship-building, and securing initial meetings. You will be supported by a technical expert who will assist in closing deals, allowing you to focus on establishing connections and opening doors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Networking: Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in target industries, focusing on top-of-funnel activities such as cold outreach, networking, and lead qualification.
  • Client Meetings: Secure meetings with potential clients to introduce the agency’s capabilities and discuss how their bespoke design solutions can meet client needs.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with a technical expert to present customized solutions and assist in closing deals.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Target Achievement: Focus on generating opportunities for projects with minimum deal values of £70k.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Track sales activity and pipeline, providing regular updates to leadership on progress and opportunities.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in business development or sales, with a strong track record in software sales, digital services, or a related field.
  • Experience in lead generation, relationship-building, and securing meetings with senior decision-makers.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with C-level executives and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand and present complex solutions (experience with UX or digital design is a plus, but not required).
  • Ideally, experience working with high-profile brands or on high-value projects.
