THE ROLE

The position involves taking responsibility for internal staff engagement alongside ensuring smooth operation of the administrative side of the business.


You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance employee engagement, communication, operational processes and administrative processes across multiple areas within the organisation.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business Support: Lead on the management of the administrative side of the business. Support the current Office Manager and provide line management to the Executive Assistant
  • Employee Engagement Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive engagement strategies to foster a positive work environment and enhance employee satisfaction, and to further embed our purpose, values and behaviours
  • Communication: Lead on internal communication within the business, including developing monthly newsletters, owning the intranet (if required), managing roadshows and other initiatives, using tools already embedded in the business. Facilitate open and transparent communication channels
  • Feedback Mechanisms: Implement and manage regular employee feedback processes, such as surveys and focus groups, to gather insights and identify areas for improvement
  • Culture Building: Promote and cultivate a positive organisational culture through various initiatives, events, and programs. Alongside the HR team, driving and embedding initiatives across the business


REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCES

We are open to considering applicants from a range of different industry backgrounds, it's not essential to have prior experience in the waste-to-energy field.


We would however expect suitable applicants to match with some of the following;

  • Prior experience in employee engagement, human resources, or a related role
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Willingness to travel (Within UK, expectation is to be office based in London at least 3 days per week)
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective engagement strategies and programmes
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment and equipped to deal with ambiguity and complexity at times
