As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Financial Controller who will play a critical role in shaping our financial strategy and ensuring robust financial controls.

About the Role:

As our Financial Controller, you will be the cornerstone of our accounting function, responsible for ensuring that all financial records are accurate, compliant with accounting standards, and reflective of our business’s financial health. You will lead the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and monthly financial statements, including the consolidation of results from our overseas subsidiaries.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead Financial Reporting: Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and relevant legislation.
  • Strategic Financial Planning: Direct and coordinate the budget preparation for the Numatic Group, and contribute to the development of our financial strategy.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls, ensuring the finance team operates within a robust control environment.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Create detailed reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts, and deliver executive presentations to senior management.

About You:

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Qualifications: A degree in accounting or equivalent experience, with a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). Finalists working towards qualification are also welcome to apply.
  • Proven Experience: A solid background in finance management, with experience in managing accounting operations, budgets, and financial reporting.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze both qualitative and quantitative data to drive improvements and measure impact.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing projects across various business areas, particularly in creating Senior Accounting Officer procedures.
  • Leadership: Experience working with senior management and a robust understanding of commercial and customer relationships.
  • Up-to-date Knowledge: A thorough understanding of current accounting standards and legislation, with a proactive approach to maintaining compliance.
