About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team at Modus | B Corp™. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in creating and developing innovative contract furniture products from concept to manufacture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with External Partners: Work closely with external design partners and operational teams to deliver innovative product solutions that meet our high standards.
  • Design and Engineering: Create and control high-standard engineering and manufacturing drawings using 2D and 3D CAD software.
  • Project Management: Liaise with clients and manage projects from prototype to production, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
  • CNC Programming: Produce CNC drawings/programmes for joinery and upholstery, driving efficiency and accuracy in our manufacturing processes.
  • Technical Specifications: Develop technical specifications, SOPs, and quality standards for all products and packaging, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Lean Production: Drive lean production and engineering improvements to enhance profitability and reduce waste.
  • ERP Database Management: Develop and maintain ERP database content using Winman software, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years' experience in manufacturing/product development or a related field.
  • CAD Skills: Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software, preferably Autodesk suite.
  • Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Understanding of modern manufacturing methods and Lean principles.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Microsoft Excel: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyze data and drive business decisions.
  • MRP/ERP Systems: Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems to manage inventory and production processes.
