Job Title: Senior Supply Chain Professional (Construction)

Location: Preston. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing support data for the sourcing strategies being pursued, and identifying risks, issues, and liabilities within these strategies
  • Producing and managing procurement plans to capture stakeholder requirements, whilst ensuring compliance with all internal and external regulatory process requirements
  • Supplying commercial and supply chain support to the delivery programmes, along with leading the sourcing and contracting procurement process, including tender pack development, evaluation, and award
  • Leading negotiations with suppliers, including commercial aspects, to ensure the best outcome for the business
  • Ensuring that lifecycle costing principles are fully considered pre- ITT including input to Make v Buy process and contractor down selection, and reporting on cost savings and cost avoidances
  • Supporting the development of supply chain strategies and leading implementation of plans

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience of working in supply chain within the construction industry
  • Detailed knowledge of JCT and NEC Construction contracts
  • An understanding of business and procurement approaches, techniques, processes, policy, and strategy
  • Experience of contract and supplier performance management

Desirable:

  • Client side experience
  • MCIPS
  • MRICS qualified or similar, or working towards
  • Experience in public sector/regulated environments
