Job Title: Lead Supply Chain Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering analytical support for sourcing strategies, while identifying potential risks and liabilities.
  • Creating and overseeing procurement plans that align with stakeholder needs, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
  • Providing commercial and supply chain guidance to project delivery teams, leading the procurement process including tender documentation, evaluation, and contract award.
  • Conducting negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms for the organization.
  • Applying lifecycle costing principles prior to the Invitation to Tender (ITT), including contributions to the Make vs. Buy analysis and contractor selection, while reporting on cost efficiencies.
  • Assisting in the formulation of supply chain strategies and spearheading their implementation.

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in supply chain management within the construction sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of JCT and NEC Construction contracts.
  • Knowledge of business procurement methodologies, processes, and strategies.
  • Experience in managing contract and supplier performance.

Desirable:

  • Experience on the client side.
  • MCIPS qualification.
  • MRICS qualified or pursuing similar qualifications.
  • Experience in regulated public sector environments.
