Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and lead the promotion, education, onboarding, and compliance with health, safety, environmental, and facilities management across the company
  • Ensure that the site complies with the outlined HSE and facilities management policies as well as external requirements
  • Keep the Executive and Senior Leadership Team informed of all important HSE compliance changes and facilities management updates
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance safety, reduce environmental impact, and streamline facilities management processes
  • Oversee and coordinate the implementation of fire and evacuation programs
  • Conduct and supervise internal and external compliance audits, report findings, and develop action plans to address any issues
  • Manage and coordinate first aid, fire safety representatives, and facilities management employees, including training and auditing
  • Review, recommend, and implement control measures and advise on the standards of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Investigate and review all accidents and near-miss incidents, recording all remedial actions and overseeing incident reporting under RIDDOR
  • Conduct regular health, safety, environmental, and facilities management inspections and prepare associated documents and reports
  • Identify areas where training/certification is required to meet legislative standards and arrange such training/certification as necessary
  • Review, implement and manage contractor health and safety procedures, as well as facilities management protocols
  • Stay updated with changes in legislation and implement relevant changes to HSE and facilities management protocols
  • Ensure that facilities management practices align with health, safety, and environmental standards, including the safe handling and storage of hazardous materials and waste
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address safety, environmental, and facilities management concerns
  • Prepare, execute, and oversee facilities maintenance plans
  • Manage and address any electrical and mechanical issues or faults
  • Manage indirect suppliers, schedule services, and repairs
  • Oversee management of the solar panel and EV charges
  • Manage external contractors and plan and execute any facilities improvement works



Skills and experience required


  • Minimum of five years of relevant health & safety, environmental, and facilities management experience in manufacturing or a similar industry
  • NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health, or equivalent
  • Experience in developing and completing internal health & safety, environmental, and facilities management audits
  • Understanding of the requirements of ISO 14001 and 9001, with experience in developing policies to ensure compliance
  • Strong presentation, written, analytical, and IT skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to guide, educate, and lead at all levels - Proficiency in people management for maintaining a safe, healthy, and well-maintained work environment
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and strict adherence to laws and regulations
  • Negotiation skills tailored to HSE and facilities management requirements - Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail within HSE and facilities management contexts
  • Competence in interpreting and applying relevant laws and regulations to HSE and facilities management practices
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams for HSE and facilities management documentation and reporting - Experience in incident investigation, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and facilities management within HSE disciplines - Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively on HSE and facilities management initiatives
