Our Technology Practice has four capabilities:

  • IT Architecture
  • Cloud Engineering
  • Software Engineering – (High / Low Code)
  • Quality Management (QA)


We are looking for Consultants with the following skill sets:

Solution Delivery

  • Can initiate and steer discussions around the responsible use of data and technology.
  • Can shape, prepare, and lead workshops with clients.
  • Acts as design authority for new developments.
  • Solution design within the frameworks and preferences of the client, thereby advising on platform/technology choices and alternatives.

Strategy

  • Guide clients through related organisational changes, ensuring smooth transitions and minimised disruptions.
  • Work with technology partners to help clients find the best approach for their needs.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and addressing their concerns or challenges.
  • Collaborate with Valcon Global leadership to define strategy and market positioning.

Business Development

  • Identify opportunities at the client and develop these into projects through proposals and client workshops.
  • Work with existing and new clients to understand business requirements and turn these into deliverable solutions.
  • Proposition development - translation of concept and technology into concrete services with added value.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to explain data concepts, solutions and benefits.

Capability Development

  • Coach colleagues on client engagement and mentor colleagues in their career progression.
  • Act as an internal and external evangelist for technology at Valcon UK, driving new and interesting initiatives.


About you:

  • In-depth understanding of industry standards and best practices.
  • Experienced in technical/data solutions and architectures.
  • You leverage your expertise and experience in technology consulting to help clients to become more technology and data driven.
  • You have experience with a wider range of technologies; application development, low code (Microsoft), software assurance and cloud.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to lead and mentor project teams effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex situations and recommend effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of business processes and the ability to align data related issues with broader business objectives.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously, across the UK.
  • Relevant certifications in IT management, project management (e.g., PMP), and digital transformation (e.g., CDT), ITL, Microsoft and Cloud are advantageous.
