London, UK, United Kingdom Counter Terrorism Policing Part time

Technology Lead - Data & Analysis - Counter Terrorism Policing HQ

The starting salary is £65,393, which includes allowances totalling £2,841.

The salary is broken down as £62,552, basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £66,997. Plus, a location allowance of £1,841 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Location: London/Hybrid

As the threat of terrorism changes, so must Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP). To be prepared, we must make the most of technology and use it to protect the public. As Technology Lead for Data & Analysis, you’ll be at the heart of this work, ensuring we make the most of ever-evolving tech. If you can help identify future requirements, we could have a home for your skills.

In this key role, you’ll manage and oversee data-related technology projects for the CTP Network. You’ll put the needs of our users at the centre of technology planning and delivery, working as part of the Data Team. You’ll then escalate plans through the Data, Analysis and Technology (DDAT) Board, leading financial planning as necessary. In short, you’ll be leading the development of some of our most critical and analytical technology. It’s a crucial responsibility, but rest assured you’ll have a team to help.

At this level, you’ll manage technology, portfolio, programme, and project colleagues who’ll assist with network engagement, programme governance, oversight and delivery. Together, you’ll liaise with users of all ranks to understand and articulate their current and future tech needs and turn these into a roadmap for delivery.

To ensure plans and projects meet present and future tech needs, you must have experience in Project Delivery and Digital, Data, and Technology (DDaT). With this background, you’ll know how to set clear goals and monitor progress, while organising team workload. Crucially, you’ll be an inspiring leader who can build connections across different disciplines and organisations, as well as with your team. Communication skills are therefore essential, along with tech project experience.

In return, you can expect a rewarding role, a competitive salary, a Civil Service pension, and excellent career development.
