SpliceGroup Europe Ltd requires an experienced Head of Sales UK to join its existing successful Sales team. Reporting to the Director of Sales the successful candidate must be able to cover key sales roles in New Business Development, Key Account Management and Sales Team management. The role is suited to a dynamic person with the drive to consistently achieve above expectations, and who can exploit their exceptional sales management skills with effective and successful results across the sales team & wider business.


The Head of Sales UK will achieve and exceed business development targets set by the Director of Sales ensuring sales strategy and growth within defined profitability parameters. Contributing to and supporting short, medium and longer term strategic growth within identified target sectors.


A comprehensive understanding of the UK and European Fibre management & Structured cabling sectors would be a distinct advantage.


Key responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver agreed annual UK Sales Plans to maximise current Key Accounts and targeted new business development
  • Propose sector go-to-market strategies for better alignment in supporting new business growth
  • Set and agree Annual Sales Targets
  • Provide the business with rolling 3-Month Sales Forecasting
  • Monthly Sales Reporting
  • Take ownership of selected Key Accounts , attending customer sites, survey and document proposed product solutions.
  • Manage the activity of the sales team and internal sales to ensure achievement of agreed objectives – this will include review of diaries and prospecting activity plus margins and progression of quotations
  • Prepare and deliver a market conditions report on a 3 monthly basis, indicating potential opportunities, trends and any movement in the market conditions and competitor activity.


Experience

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a proven track record of delivered business results and profitability
  • Have outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Be a confident negotiator with the ability to ‘close the deal’
  • Have strong financial awareness and prime responsibility for contract quotation
  • Have strong client and relationship management skills
  • Be an ambitious, assertive team player
  • Have a background in Sales team management, preferably on a National level.


This is a permanent, full time role. Based from home, the successful candidate will be expected to travel nationally and overnight stays will be required. Overseas travel may also be required.


Salary: Up to £70,000.00 per year with the opportunity for OTE/Bonus
