The Role:

  • Manage a small but growing team of sales professionals
  • Implementing & driving sales strategy
  • Team training and mentoring – prospecting, pitching, closing, reporting, account management and retention.
  • Work with the portfolio director to set sales targets, then work with the wider team to ensure these targets are met
  • Drive your own sales across a portfolio of publishing titles
  • Work within a team environment, building good on-going relationships with clients to deliver on their objectives.
  • Matching client requirements with service packages
  • Maintain existing business through client management and repeat business
  • Being part of a growing team feeding in new ideas, and growing existing and new business



The Candidate:

  • Holds a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5+ years' prior experience in a Head of Sales role
  • Training and mentoring experience
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development and growth strategies
  • Focused and goal-oriented
  • Bristol/Greater Bristol based
