Job Role: Finance Administrator

Location: New Milton

Hours: 35 hours per week Monday to Friday


The Job role

As a Finance Administrator, you will be contributing to a respected and trusted insurance broker with a friendly and dedicated team, that provides cover for properties, large or small.

  • Providing customer centric insurance products for the client’s consumers.
  • Ensuring all enquiries are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensuring compliance with FCA requirements.

This role reports into the Finance Manager and has no direct reports.


Main Responsibilities

General Finance Administration duties not limited to:

  • Posting insurance invoice payments onto the Client Ledger of the Acturis system.
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements and assisting with the investigation of any unreconciled items.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Dealing with client queries via email – in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide a superior service to all internal and external customers of Knight Square Insurance Brokers Ltd.
  • Support the Knight Square Insurance strategic and operational goals.


Skills and Experience

  • Preferably educated to A Level standard. or equivalent, but as a minimum 5 ‘C’ or grade 4 and above GCSE passes; including English and Maths.However, previous on the job experience will be considered for the right candidate.
  • Experience of working within a Finance role would be advantageous but not necessary as training will be given and this role would suit someone looking to progress a finance career.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Experienced and competent in the use of Microsoft applications; experience and proficient in Excel is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. With good attention to detail.
  • Awareness of FCA obligations, relevant to insurance provision, would be advantageous but not necessary.
  • Adaptable and able to work under pressure and to tight timelines.
