Office Administrator

We require an experienced Office Administrator to join our small admin team covering a period of maternity leave.
This is an office based role.
Location: Cheadle Heath, Stockport
Working hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm (35 hour week)
Salary: 26,000/annum
Start date: January 2025 for 1 year (with the possibility of extending).
The candidate's role is to provide support to our Expert Witnesses in managing their cases, from the point of referral to report submission. The job can be fast-paced and the nature of the work emotive. Discretion would be crucial.
Responsibilities
- Managing incoming calls, emails and correspondence.
- Managing referrals and delivering timescales within a timely manner.
- Coordinating and scheduling appointments for Expert Witnesses and Assistant Psychologists.
- Proofreading, formatting and distribution of Court Reports.
- Maintaining accurate record keeping on Expert’s cases.
- Maintaining the digital filing systems, ensuring documents are correctly filed, well-organised, and comprehensible.
Skills/Attributes
- Proven experience as an Office Administrator, Administrative Assistant, or similar role.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to organise, multitask and prioritise work.
- Effective communication and people skills, showing professionalism and compassion when required, with internal and external professionals.
- Ability to work independently using their own initiative, where appropriate, and as part of a small team.
- Working to tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Whilst not essential, knowledge of childcare legal proceedings or a background in a legal role may be beneficial.
