Pet Product Sales Development Manager

We are seeking an enthusiastic and strategic-minded Pet Product Sales Development Manager to lead and drive our sales expansion efforts within the dynamic European pet product industry. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through identifying new business opportunities, building partnerships with retail partners and other B to B to C prospects, including telcos, pet insurance companies, and other Professional Pet sales channels. You will help define growth strategies that enhance our brand's presence and sales performance. Your expertise in sales, account management, market analysis, and strategic planning will be pivotal in achieving our sales objectives and brand presence within this important market segment.



An Insight to the Role

  • Identify and evaluate potential sales opportunities within the European Pet Retail, and alternate B to B to C sales channels .
  • Proactively seek out new leads and partnerships, initiate contact, and develop relationships to establish a robust sales pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new retail accounts, acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Regularly engage with retail partners to understand their needs, concerns, and feedback, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, serving as the main point of contact for ongoing business interactions.
  • Support in negotiating terms, contracts, and agreements to secure new business and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor product offerings and solutions to meet the unique needs of potential clients.
  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates on sales performance, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to monitor sales performance, track KPIs, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Generate reports and presentations that highlight sales trends, forecasts, and recommendations for optimizing sales strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new retail and other B to B to C accounts, acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Regularly engage with retail partners to understand their needs, concerns, and feedback, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services.
  • Provide personalized support to address inquiries, resolve issues, and facilitate smooth order processes.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments within the pet product retail sector.
  • Translate market insights into actionable strategies that position our brand as a leader in the market.


Key Success Factors

  • Proven experience in European retail sales development or account management, preferably within the pet product industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, negotiation techniques, and relationship-building strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with retail partners, internal teams, and senior management.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, draw insights, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
