We are currently looking for an HPLC Analytical Team Lead to join a well-established and respected pharmaceutical component manufacturer, based within Lancashire, to manage lab operations and supervise a team of analysts in the testing of inhalation products.

This is a great step up for someone with a strong HPLC background with inhalation products and has previously supervised employees.


The main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • of all direct reports within the IPTC department, including line management of direct reports through regular 1:1 meetings; periodic appraisals, managing employee relations and arranging cover where necessary.
  • and Approving Study Protocols, Reports, SWIs, ATMs in a timely manner.
  • with the analytical team to maintain accurate records.
  • and sharing expertise and knowledge of the testing of inhalation devices: Metered Dose Inhalers (MDIs) and Dry Powder Inhalers


Role requirements:

Degree qualified in a science related field with significant experience working in Pharma (or similar)

Proven experience managing or supporting junior staff.

Essential: HPLC expert (including experience with chromatography software e.g Chromeleon

Essential: Experience of testing inhalation devices

Have strong analytical capabilities including method development, documentation and validation.
