Alexander Lloyd is working in partnership with an award-winning independent professional trustee firm and part of an integrated group of independently owned companies. Since their inception, our client has grown to become one of the largest independent professional trustee companies in the UK. Their services include executive and non-executive trustee appointments and trusteeship for schemes with complex backgrounds, such as those sponsored by employers in financial distress or engaged in wind-up/PPF assessment.


About the role:

As a Pensions Client Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivery trusteeship, governance, administration and other operational services to a portfolio of Defined Benefits clients. Key responsibilities will involve:

  • Project management of a portfolio of pension schemes and specific projects being undertaken such as Buy in & Buy Outs, Data and GMP exercises
  • The delivery of all aspects of pension scheme governance to ensure full compliance / no breaches.
  • Attendance of client and trustee meetings.
  • Monitoring compliance with the scheme business plan and address issues.
  • Involvement with business growth, writing blogs and articles for marketing purposes, assisting and delivering client seminars.
  • Identify and share opportunities for product and service enhancements through client proposition and revenue opportunities.


This is a hybrid opportunity, 2x days a week in the London office, 3x days working from home. Salary up to £75k DOE, plus discretionary bonus and benefits on top.


Experience required:

  • Defined Benefits experience with understanding of pensions management
  • Strong technical understanding of pension legislation, regulations, and other relevant legislation including scheme management and compliance
  • Budget management skills
  • Project management experience, ability to prioritise and work to client deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical points.
