About The Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities and acquiring new client relationships. You will also be responsible for overseeing and executing our go-to-market strategy. As a BDM, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company's growth and expansion. You will be selling into the mortgage, banking, valuation and financial services industries. By leveraging your industry knowledge and networking skills, you will drive revenue growth and establish our brand as a leader in the FinTech space. You will be working directly with the Executive team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities: Proactively research and identify potential clients, market segments, and strategic partnerships to drive business growth. Develop a deep understanding of the industry and competitive landscape to identify untapped opportunities
  • Lead the sales process: Take ownership of the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure. Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, effectively qualify leads, conduct product demonstrations, and deliver compelling sales presentations
  • Nurture client relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing contacts to maximise account growth and retention. Understand client's needs, provide tailored solutions, and act as a trusted advisor to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Conduct market research and analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and customer demands. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, potential business risks, and areas for product/service innovation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with product management, marketing, and other internal teams to align business strategies, optimise product offerings, and ensure smooth execution of sales initiatives. Collaborate to develop marketing collateral, sales materials, and value propositions that resonate with target customers
  • Meet or exceed sales targets: Set ambitious sales targets and consistently work towards achieving or surpassing them. Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and prepare regular sales reports to provide insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Attend industry events and conferences: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness, expand professional networks, and explore potential business partnerships
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance: Keep abreast of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to all business development activities. Maintain a high level of integrity and ethical conduct in all interactions
  • Provide market feedback: Act as the voice of the customer by gathering feedback, market insights, and competitive intelligence. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide valuable input for product development, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans
  • Continuously improve processes: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in business development activities. Implement best practices, leverage technology tools, and contribute to the ongoing refinement of sales strategies and methodologies.


What we desire from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Tech or related fields
  • 7+ years of quota carrying and new business development experience in the FinTech space in the UK/EMEA
  • Proven Sales Track Record: ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth
  • Strategic Thinker: strategically and identify new business opportunities. Ability to analyse market trends, identify gaps, and develop effective strategies to penetrate new markets or expand existing ones
  • Relationship Building Skills: building and nurturing client relationships. Ability to establish strong connections, act as trusted advisors to clients, and drive customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Industry Knowledge and Market Awareness: strong understanding of the lending and valuation industry and the competitive landscape. Familiar with industry trends, regulatory changes, and customer demands to make informed business decisions
  • Results-Oriented Approach: driven by results and takes a proactive approach to achieving business objectives. Seek individuals who are self-motivated, target-oriented, and can consistently deliver sales goals
  • Strong Communication and Presentation Skills: effective communication and presentation abilities and can articulate the value proposition, build rapport with clients, and negotiate effectively
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as product management, marketing, and other teams to align business strategies and execute sales initiatives
  • Flexibility and Adaptability be able to quickly adapt to changing market conditions, embrace new technologies and approaches, and drive continuous improvement
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: self-motivated, results-oriented and takes ownership of their work, demonstrates initiative, and contributes to the overall growth and success of the organisation.
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills in English, and other languages beneficial
  • Knowledge of MS Office and CRMs like HubSpot, SFDC, Dynamics etc.
  • Flexibility to travel for client meetings and industry events, as required
  • Existing network in the Real Estate/Lending/Mortgage/Valuation industry.
