What will you be doing?

As an engagement manager you’ll be responsible for the coordination of VantagePoint projects from kick-off to post-go live. You’ll be the lead focal point for the client to contact on all issues and activities related to project management.

You’ll ensure that the VantagePoint delivery team has all the tools, project context and access to internal/client stakeholders required to ensure successful project delivery. You’ll lead the team to build a delivery plan and a backlog of Build work items and define a delivery model that best fits the engagement in question.

You’ll be constantly anticipating challenges in a project setting, and continuously considering and supporting the implementation of improvements to ensure that the project is delivered within time and budget. You’ll lead on account growth for projects under management ensuring that opportunities are identified and responded to rapidly. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Own the successful end-to-end delivery of projects, providing project management leadership to the client and delivery team
  • Establish and enforce ways of working including use of project tools, aligned to VantagePoint delivery model principles
  • Definition and management of project plans including resource allocation
  • Definition and management of project governance both internally and with client
  • Ensure that the delivery team has the appropriate tools at their disposal to effectively elicit requirements, design, build and test their solutions
  • Provide regular updates on project progress to the client, appropriate to audience
  • Provide coaching and mentoring support to junior team members to promote their personal and team development
  • Support and lead on identification, documentation of and selling opportunities in a project setting to expand VantagePoint’s commercial cover.
  • Involvement in practice development through a series of targeted initiatives.

A summary of the kind of person we’re looking for

  • A bachelor’s degree, ideally with a focus on Finance and Accounting
  • Extensive business consulting and project management experience in a technology domain (ERP/ EPM / CPM preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite with advanced PowerPoint skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a formal system implementation methodology – requirements gathering, design, build/test and deploy (Agile methodology experience also preferable)
  • Superb written/oral communication skills
  • Experience in resource management within a project environment
  • Proven ability to lead and execute responsibilities simultaneously
  • Ability to manage multiple projects running con-currently
