Bid Specialist at Leading London Design Studio
Are you an organized, detail-oriented, and strategic bid and proposal specialist? Join a dynamic team in London and influence how a leading architectural studio pursues and wins new work. If you have a talent for managing complex bid processes and a passion for architecture, this is an exciting opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bid Management: Support the management of the bid process, shaping winning strategies, and ensuring excellence from opportunity identification to delivery. Collaborate across the business to drive success.
- End-to-End Accountability: Oversee pre-positioning, win strategy, storyboarding, bid kick-off, clarifications, response development, submission, interview, and post-bid feedback.
- Client Requirements: Assess client requirements and work with internal and external stakeholders to craft, edit, and review responses, ensuring they are tailored, high-quality, and submitted on time.
- Collaboration: Drive collaboration between internal and external stakeholders, including supply chain partners and design teams.
- Best Practices: Design and implement bidding best practices, including approaches to win strategy, the bidding process, and maintaining a centralised knowledge library.
- Community of Practice: Work with other bid specialists to improve the standard and effectiveness of written responses and share best practices.
- Pipeline Management: Manage the upcoming submissions pipeline, ensuring each proposal is effectively resourced and recorded in the CRM.
What They’re Looking For:
- Bid Management Expertise: Proven success in establishing and reinforcing best practices in bid management.
- Industry Experience: Experience in architecture or a construction-related field, with in-depth knowledge of construction/RIBA Design stages, supply chain roles, and procurement and selection routes including Design & Build, EPC, RFPs, and design competitions.
- Project Management Skills: Exceptional project management abilities to oversee multiple bids with precision. APMP certification is highly valued.
- Writing and Editing Skills: Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate highly technical content into plain English.
- Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills, with a talent for fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Additional Skills: Additional language skills may be beneficial. Proficiency in InDesign and the Microsoft 365 suite, including PowerPoint and SharePoint, is required.
