Job Title: National Account Executive (Maternity Cover)

Location: London - (Must be London Based or 1/2 Hour outside of London)

Company: Barry M Cosmetics

Hybrid working – 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.

Reporting to: Head of Account Management.


As a National Account Executive, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue and market share growth for our products on a national level. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with key retail partners, overseeing promotional activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Account Management:

o Develop and maintain relationships with national retail accounts.

o Ensure effective communication and collaboration with accounts to meet sales targets.


2. Sales Strategy and Planning:

o Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue goals.

o Analyse market trends and consumer behaviour to identify opportunities and threats.

o Work closely with the sales team to create and execute promotional plans.


3. Forecasting and Budgeting:

o Collaborate with internal teams to develop accurate sales forecasts.

o Monitor and manage budgets for promotional activities and account-specific initiatives.


4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

o Work closely with marketing, product development, graphic designers and supply chain teams to align strategies.

o Provide feedback to internal teams based on market trends and customer feedback.


5. Market Analysis:

o Conduct regular market analysis to identify competitors' activities and market trends.

o Utilise data and insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to strategies.


6. Training and Support:

o Provide training and support to retail partners to enhance product knowledge and sales capabilities.

o Collaborate with the training team to develop training materials and programs.


7. Performance Metrics:

o Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of sales strategies.

o Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and opportunities.


8. Customer Service:

o Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by national retail accounts.

o Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in national account management within the cosmetics or beauty industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience with top four grocers or major high street retailers is preferred but not essential. We’re open to hearing from all qualified candidates.
