Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role as a Brand Marketing Manager for the Jessica brand.

You must have demonstrable love of beauty.

The ideal candidate will be a creative and analytical thinker, with good attention to detail and time management.

As a Brand Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for a variety of day-to-day tasks related to brand management. This includes developing and implementing marketing strategies, conducting market research, analysing consumer trends, coordinating brand campaigns, and maintaining brand consistency. The role is based in Borehamwood, with flexibility for remote work.


General Responsibilities:

· Support key stakeholders sales delivering the marketing and communications strategy in-line with pre-determined brand objectives.

· Manage and execute day-to-day activities associated with all marketing efforts for Jessica, including project management, activity tracking and reporting.

· Help to support Marketing, Social Media, Sales Team, E-commerce, Education, Customer Support, Design, and all internal departments.

· Support training other colleagues and most importantly, salons and spa partners.

· Build relationships with and support management of possible third-party agencies, including PR and editorial, copywriters, collateral and merchandising production and printers – checking marketing copy, co-ordinating sign off of all marketing materials, ensuring the design and messaging meet brand objectives and guidelines.

· Ensure all projects are completed within the given timescales and with given budget.


Strategic Objectives and Brand Development:

· Aid in identifying target audiences, objectives and desired outcomes of marketing campaigns and activities, ensuring to maintain brand integrity across product lines and all communication, as well as leading post campaign analysis and cascading recommendations.

· Proactively identify and recommend brand-building inititatives.


Financial Management:

· Manage overall marketing budgets for assigned projects and launches.

· Ensure effective financial management of specified projects and launches to meet defined margins, including new product pricing and promotions, new account launch offers and re-support promotions for UK and International markets.


Pricing:

· Lead maintenance of competitor pricing database to help inform new product pricing.

· Lead management and execution of price reviews, including internal approval and communication both internally and externally.


Communication:

· Help to develop and co-ordinate marketing and communication plans for the brand, to include launch programs, promotional activity, e-mail campaigns, advertising, exhibitions / events, training and presentations, and oversee distribution to third parties, in-house and customers.

· Lead in the design, development and production of marketing materials including leaflets, posters and flyers, and maintenance of training collateral and manuals, ensuring they are all produced on time and on budget.

· Lead writing and proof-reading, and ensure all marketing communications are in-line with brand vision and positioning, personality and tone of voice.

· Participate in key sales and marketing presentations as necessary.


Content Creation and Management:

· Lead creation of new brand content, including model and pack shoot planning, image retouching, co-ordinating requirements across marketing, e-comm and social teams.

· Support in the creation and maintenance of brand related web content and assets required for the sales team.

· Lead co-ordination and maintenance of brand and brand related images within a comprehensive image library for internal / external and online / offline use.


PR, Trade and Consumer Advertising:

· Assist in writing, proofing and distributing press releases.

· Build and maintain contacts with trade media, and help identify new opportunities and maximise all editorial content and trade activity, monitoring its effectiveness.

· Assist in production of trade and consumer advertising, and maintain trade advertising calendar, ensuring all editorial and advertising deadlines are met.


Promotions:

· Assist in the running of an effective brand promotional calendar.

· Develop, co-ordinate and execute promotions in line with timings and margin targets.

· Monitor effectiveness of promotional activity and report / provide recommendations to senior management.


Exhibition & Events Management:

· Assist in the planning, creation and production of all marketing for consumer, trade events and exhibitions including stand design.

· Assist in maximising exposure pre and post event and evaluating success.


Market Analysis and Reporting:

· Lead insight gathering research and analysis, staying up-to-date on market trends and continual monitoring of main competitor activity that can be utilised to gain a competitive advantage and inform future development and strategies.

· Conduct MOM and YOY brand sales reporting, including new launches and promotional performance against previous results and/or targets, as well as category, product and shade analysis, to inform future launch plans and portfolio management.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience, including beauty market
  • Strong marketing and brand management skills
  • Experience in developing and executing marketing strategies
  • Ability to analyse market trends and consumer behaviour
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of the beauty industry and current beauty trends is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
