MacGregor Black is delighted to partner with a Mid-sized Owner-managed Business in their search for a Management Accountant. This is a full-time role, based on site in London.


Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced accountant to manage an extensive portfolio of properties around the world. Based in the London office, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of international properties, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and financial performance. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for real estate and global finance.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage the financial operations of a global property portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international accounting standards.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable for each property.
  • Coordinate with property managers and local accountants to ensure timely and accurate financial data.
  • Conduct regular financial audits and implement controls to safeguard assets and optimize financial performance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies to enhance the profitability of the property portfolio.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making processes.
  • Stay up to date with changes in financial regulations and industry trends to ensure best practices.


What are we looking for?


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the real estate or property management industry.
  • Strong knowledge of international accounting standards and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to oversee international properties as needed.
