UK Sales Manager

Potentia Search are exclusively retained on this exciting project, working alongside a global filtration solutions provider for industrial, municipal, and agricultural use.
Their automatic self-cleaning filters and manual filters have built a worldwide reputation for efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability.
They seek to hire an experienced Sales Manager for the UK & Ireland market.
The job:
- The new employee will work independently and will be based in UK.
- You will be assigned a customer portfolio to maintain and develop. Your task will be also the acquisition and retention of new customer accounts.
- Price offers & technical proposals are made in coordination with sales department, application engineers, manufacturing departments and driven by the candidate.
The position involves:
- Conducting commercial and technical actions with an existing target audience. Your contacts will be engineers, technicians, technical managers, buyers and purchasing managers.
- Developing markets for industrial verticals (Water Treatment, Oil& Gas, Chemistry, Food, Pharmaceuticals) and customer types (End-User, distributor, OEM, Engineering)
- New Account Acquisition
- Participate in marketing activities and corporate marketing,
- Provide efficient technical solutions, innovative and economically attractive.
Training / Experience / requirements:
- University graduate in a technical / related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Technical background in supplying manufactured product is a must
- Experience 3 to 5 years in a similar field of activity.
- Familiarity and proven business capabilities in water treatment or utilities with one of the following segments: O&G/Municipal/Industry.
- High level of knowledge with filtration products and/or water treatment process.
- Experience in similar position would be an additional asset.
- Familiarity with SAP – an advantage.
- Excellent English – reading and writing, additional European language is an advantage.
- The candidate must be reliable, ambitious, and trustworthy.
- Independent approach and teamwork ability.
- Autonomous and able to take initiatives.
- Strong motivation, work ethic, conscientious and organized, Flexibility.
Management Structure:
The candidate will report to and work directly for the European Sales Manager and report directly to him about his activities. The strategy to follow and goals to achieve will be defined in collaboration between the candidate, the Sales Manager Europe and European President.
Compensation Package:
- Salary will be composed of a fixed and variable portion (commission based on objectives achievements).
- The amount of the remuneration and the payment conditions will be defined depending on the application profile.
- The computer tool and its main applications (Office Suite) will be fully controlled by the candidate.
- The company will deliver to the employee:
- A company car
- The needed tools to achieve the aims (laptop, mobile phone, etc)
- The successful candidate will work on an executive status annualized package. The trial period will be 6 months.
