Our client based in Bedfordshire, are looking for a Senior Payroll & Pensions Officer on a Fixed Term Contract for 12-18 months as soon as possible


The role is a full-time hybrid position, and are offering up to £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience).


Our client is looking for skilled individuals with experience systems experience using iTrent.


Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Processing payroll for over 500 employees and ensuring all salary payments, statutory and voluntary deductions are accurate
  • Ensuring that accurate deductions are made and that monthly and annual returns are reconciled for all pension schemes
  • Preparing and submitting all payroll year-end requirements to HMRC
  • Ensuring that controls are properly applied to minimise exposure to erroneous fraudulent transactions
  • Preparing payroll balance sheet reconciliations monthly


Experience, skills and expertise required:

  • Proven experience of running a company payroll in a busy environment
  • Proven knowledge of current payroll legislation and HMRC requirements including an in-depth understanding of statutory payments and deductions
  • Proven experience of using a computerised payroll system
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment
