Job Summary
The Director of Total Rewards and People Operations is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organisation’s comprehensive total rewards strategy and overseeing People operations. This role ensures the alignment of compensation, benefits, and People operations with the company’s strategic objectives to attract, retain, and motivate a high-performing workforce
Key Responsibilities
Total Rewards
1. Strategy Development
Develop and implement a total rewards strategy that includes compensation, benefits, incentives, and recognition programmes
Ensure alignment with business goals and market competitiveness
2. Compensation
Oversee salary structure, pay policies, and salary surveys
Manage the annual compensation review process
Ensure compliance with legal regulations and internal policies
Develop and execute on RemCom reporting and approvals
3. Benefits
Design and manage employee benefits programmes, including health insurance, pensions, wellness initiatives, and other offerings
Evaluate and negotiate with benefits providers to optimise value
4. Performance and Recognition
Develop and implement performance management and employee recognition programmes. Align performance management processes with organisational objectives
People Operations
1. People Systems and Processes
Oversee the development and maintenance of People systems to improve data management and employee self-service. Ensure People processes are efficient, standardised, and scalable.
2. Compliance:
Ensure People policies, procedures, and programmes comply with laws and regulations, including GDPR.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation
3. People Analytics:
Develop and manage People metrics and analytics to inform business decisions.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in Total Rewards and People Operations essential, ideally with a background in a FCA regulated business
- Strong understanding of compensation and benefits
- Proficient in HRIS and other HR technologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
