Here at SSCL we are on the lookout for Administrators to join our organisation to support our veterans within our Defence Business Service. The mission is to work through thousands of backlogged pension cases. Providing a comprehensive pension re-assessment processing service to service personnel who are leaving or who have left the Navy, Army or Royal Air Force. This is a significant and varied role where maintaining confidentiality is needed.

This is a fixed term contract position based at our site in the centre of Glasgow. Working within a tight knit team who are always on hand to offer support and guidance to one another. The roles will be on a full-time basis - 37.5 hours per week, with the option to work those hours flexibly Monday through to Friday (7am-7pm, consideration for compressed working week)

We are looking for candidates who are used to working in a team, a keen eye for detail, able to use their own imitative positive thinking and to have the ability to follow processes.

What you will be doing?
  • Re-assessing pension benefits that are due to members in accordance with policy
  • Providing individual benefit statements and responding to member queries
  • Updating systems to ensure accurate records are held of members entitlements
  • Working to set government processes and procedures

What you'll bring?
  • Numeracy skills and able to process complex data
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word)
  • Able to use initiative and exercise sound judgment
  • Articulate and able to develop good working relationships with colleagues and clients
  • A flexible manner and approach
  • Great interpersonal skills and proficient in communicating at all levels

It would be great if you had:
  • Financial and/or Pension Sector experience
  • Administration
