We are seeking a passionate and diligent Security Coordinator to join our growing business with an UK & Ireland scope working from one of our locations in the Midlands. You will be responsible for all operational security related matters and will maintain Security Excellence in the region, responsible for minimizing the risk to DP World of theft of customer product or DP World property.


About the Role:

  • Responsible for customization and development of internal security instruction, including training;
  • Provide assistance during internal and external audits (TAPA, GSA, Customs, RA etc.);
  • Take part and support in new Project Launches or changes from the security perspective;
  • Responsible for correct follow up on corrective and preventive maintenance according to SLA’s and urgent repairs of system malfunctions;
  • Manage the access control system (new cards, mis-use, system review);
  • Make back-up planning;
  • Be proactive in addressing opportunities for improvement, safety, efficiency, etc.;
  • Responsible for operational contract management of the suppliers of Security goods and or services (QBR, planning, annual purchase orders, complaints etc.)
  • Responsible for reviewing the suppliers reporting, performance, rosters, incidents etc


Your Key Skills:

  • Strong communication skills (able to train and motivate staff, manage external suppliers, negotiate contracts, act as escalation point for security related issues, cooperate with other team members);
  • Understanding of TAPA A & C FSR, TSR & PSR and CTPAT and ISO requirements;
  • Proficiency with Audit and Risk Assessment functions;
  • Strong experience on all aspects of Site and Freight Security, including site security process, uniformed guarding, Security Technology equipment and remote monitoring. Site security process covers both security of product, and of the building, equipment and company property;
  • Experience within supply chain, contract logistics, warehousing of technology and automotive industries an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written)
  • No criminal records and high level of personal integrity; Certificate of Conduct required, a screening could be part of the application process
  • Proactive (identify issues and act upon);
  • Stress-resilient (stay calm during escalations).
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems and applications (Windows, Excel)
