Apply has been retained by this well established, high growth global organisation to help hire a Product Director reporting to the global leader for this business.


As the Product Director you will develop the global product vision and strategy which considers all opportunities across the customer journey, both physical and online creating the ultimate customer experience. The ability to identify new product opportunities will be significant in this role.


As the Product Director you will be responsible for the product lifecycle including conducting market research, gathering customer insights, defining product requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams and prioritising product features.


There is a current product portfolio in place however the organisation is ambitious in its growth both organically and via acquisition. This company proactively foster’s an entrepreneurial environment so Innovation, research and development are key.


You will ensure innovation is present within the business creating commercially profitable new products to continue to differentiate this organisations product in the market.


As part of the product strategy, products old or new must have the capability to profitably scale globally through a range of investment and operating models such as own locations, franchises, 3rd party operators, strategic partnerships etc.


You will lead an experienced and established team on this journey and work collaboratively across the senior leadership team that includes Marketing, Operations & Technology to achieve the outputs and outcomes desired.


Alongside this you will work directly with board members so the ability to grow and manage C suite relationships is a must.


This role combines both the physical part of the customer Journey and technology led elements of the customer Journey however it is not a technology led product role.


You will work with suppliers to determine the appropriate design of the products, including things such as size and layout, facilities when there, considering how people start and finish that physical journey.


As part of this the digital platform needs to be considered with such things as booking, revenue management, stock inventory, etc. You will need to collaborate with operations, ecommerce and the technology teams to make this aligned to the product strategy.

To be successful in your application for this role you must be passionate about delivering great customer experience, the promotion of great process, but focused on the people.


You will need to be able to demonstrate the following experience:


  • A track record of developing and executing Product strategy to drive profitability and significant growth
  • Grown and managed C suite relationships
  • Experience of P&L management ensuring that key value is delivered within agreed cost & timescales
  • Commercial and senior leadership experience.
  • Understood the big picture and aligned stakeholders to create coherent viewpoints based on their perspectives.
  • An understanding of the challenges of developing an MVP.
  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision making, accountability and metrics for measuring performance.
  • A good eye for detail, but the ability to celebrate progress rather than waiting.
  • Ideas generation and workshop leadership - the facilitation to manage successful innovation
  • Collaboratively focussed.
  • Capability to work in high growth, fast-moving environments.
  • Problem identification and to problem solving to ensure successful delivery.
