What you’ll be doing:

  • Account Management of all UK & Ireland Hydro & Selected thermal power station customers.
  • Visit Hydro Customers both in UK/Ireland and overseas and UK Power Stations as and when required to ensure the Hydro/Power station industry sector pipeline is in place for future works.
  • Sell the complete range of Quartzelec Products and Service capabilities to Hydro & Power Station market customers.
  • Visit other customers located near sites such as thermal power plant, oil refineries.
  • Be main point of contact for all customer enquiries within the UK & Ireland Hydro market and allocated Key accounts.
  • Contribute to the bid process for all relevant enquiries.
  • Responsible for Market and Customer development within the Hydro & Power station sector.
  • Update the CRM system with all relevant information from customer visits and project updates.
  • Be the main point of contact for any Hydro power market enquiries that come from other business units.
  • Provide training and mentoring to Project Management team where specialist knowledge can be shared.
  • Contribute to projects and initiatives that aim to improve the tendering process.
  • Provide support to Business Managers and Profit Centre Managers with any improvement ideas they have for their business and utilise them across units wherever possible.


Job Role

This is a full-time remote role for a UK & Ireland Hydro Power Market Sales Manager at Quartzelec Limited. The Sales Manager will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to the sales of hydro power market solutions. The role involves identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, building and maintaining customer relationships, and achieving sales targets with the opportunity to travel both within the UK and overseas.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in sales and business development
  • Knowledge of the UK & Ireland hydro power market
  • Ideally you will have a technical understanding / engineering background with a working knowledge of rotating machines
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills
  • Good understanding of technical drawings and rotating machine design features and can assist in the tendering process
