The Place

Xpress are exclusively working with a hotel operator that operates the whole of Scotland, looking for their next Sous Chef. to join a stunning Country House Hotel in the Highlands.

The Job

As Sous Chef, you will be working closely alongside your team and the Head Chef to deliver a first-class product using locally sourced ingredients as much as possible. This is a quality property with an excellent restaurant so working in conjunction with source ability and provenance is an absolute must to ensure the highest standards and continuity of service. Providing both fine and casual dining is a must for the next Sous Chef with the co-ability to write and cost menus for both offerings with the current Head Chef.

The Person

The ideal Sous Chef will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar Country House hotel environment, possibly looking for a step up from a Senior CDP role that has worked in all sections would be a preference. Preferably with a Rosette background but not essential as the real focus is on the quality of the food, a real foody chef would love this role as you will be part of the menu design anddelivery. There is no live-in available with this role but a welcoming brigade awaits.
